We've been excited about this wine since we first tasted it out of the press.
It's Syrah that was planted in a row with Viognier one after another. Cote Rotie being the inspiration behind the planting, we figured "why the hell not". So we picked the rows, crushed the fruit and fermented it... all together. And damn. That vineyard made a hell of a wine. Now don't expect a huge wine here, this is the more finessed side of Syrah, the fun side of Syrah... It's all roses and dirt, with depth and crunchy acidity.
Unfortunately for all of us, there are a measly 49 cases. And we've contemplated drinking all of it ourselves.
